I started my
working life as an assistant analytical chemist in an
enamel factory, moved on to be an assistant pathologist (
post mortems! - great chat-up line.....not! ) and was
then made redundant be the all knowing all powerful
bloody government ( sorry, lost it there for a moment ).
I then spent a few years in and out of factory jobs until
I discovered computers.
-
I started
out building my own PC's about 8 years ago, (1990), I
have since worked in technical support for a computer
company, M- Solutions ( now LogiX
) for 3 years, taken the majority of a BSc.(Hons.) in
Computer Science as a mature student (still got the last
60 credits to get), and now work for a supermarket company, Somerfield
Stores Ltd, where I help to maintain the bespoke national
distribution database and the network of pc's, both LAN
and WAN. If its PC Support I do it. I hope to become more
involved with doing some real programming in the future,
but we will see what the milleniummmmmm brings.
